Farmers Feeding the World Staff

Margie Alsbrook

Margie Alsbrook is the Foundation’s Director of Operations and joined us in June 2013 with over a decade of agricultural and food policy experience. She holds a masters of law in agricultural and food law from the University of Arkansas, where she was the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Food Law & Policy. Before attending law school, Margie was a non-profit fundraiser and a business reporter, which makes her a natural fit for the Foundation. She is responsible for the Foundation’s overall strategy and operations, building individual donor relationships, and she also oversees the HungerU program.

In her spare time, Margie enjoys volunteering and her current organizations include the Alumni Board of Governors for Hendrix College, the board of directors for the Arkansas Law Review and Bar Association Journal, Inc. She is a former Justice of the Peace for Washington County, Arkansas. When she joined the Foundation she relocated to Columbia, Missouri, and she is looking forward to getting involved in the local community and exploring the Katy Trail. A self-described geek, Margie also enjoys writing paper correspondence and publishing articles in academic journals.

He also sits on the Board of an NGO in Haiti dealing with water issues. When not working for a good cause, Jim is an avid sailor and races sailboats on a local lake, and loves many other outdoor activities.
